“A house without books is like a room without windows.”
Horace Mann
Why It Matters
Access to books builds literacy, confidence, and long-term academic success.
Many Title I schools cannot afford to host traditional book fair experiences, and for many families, purchasing new books is simply not possible.
Free Book Fair removes that barrier.
Each student selects five books to take home — building or beginning a personal library of their own. Often, those books are chosen for siblings and family members to share.
A book in a child’s hand is more than paper and ink.
It is ownership.
It is confidence.
It is opportunity.
