Every child deserves access to books at home — books they can choose, treasure, and return to again and again.

Yet for many families at Title 1 schools, this simple opportunity is out of reach. Some schools are unable to host traditional book fairs, and for many students, purchasing books is not possible.

Free Book Fair is changing that story.

What began as a small community project has grown into a movement. In the past year, we brought free book fairs to Wilkinson and Tuttle Elementary Schools, ensuring that every student took home books to begin building a library of their very own.

The excitement on their faces said it all: books are more than stories — they are confidence, imagination, and opportunity.

This school year, we are expanding to six Title 1 schools across Sarasota, giving thousands of children the chance to discover the joy of reading. Each fair is powered by generous donors and dedicated volunteers who believe books belong in every home.

to put books into the hands of children and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
